Habit Loop
The Habit Loop is a neurological pattern that governs any habit, consisting of three elements: a cue, a routine, and a reward.
Cue: The trigger that initiates the behavior (e.g., feeling bored, seeing your phone).
Routine: The behavior itself (e.g., picking up the phone and scrolling).
Reward: The benefit you get from the behavior (e.g., entertainment, screentime, distractions).
FocusNPlay works by modifying the habit loop. The cue (wanting to use an app) remains the same, but the routine now includes a study session. The reward (app access) is still there, you just have to earn it by productive studying.
